Despite its size, the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 offers a blend of both athleticism and a silky smooth driving. Turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six creates 362 horsepower and goes from zero to sixty in under six seconds. Using a 48-volt offering hybrid electrification allows gas-free coasting and lower emissions. And with a 7,700-lb towing capacity, it shows just how powerful the luxury SUV can be when needed.
Design
As by far the largest SUV of the Mercedes-Benz lineup, luxurious versatility is what makes the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLS so special. The standard seating configuration of the luxury SUV seats up to seven passengers through three rows, but if you are interested in personal comfort for your passengers a six-seat configuration is available with second-row captain’s chairs.
With a max cargo capacity of up 84.6 cubic feet, hauling around your valuable and necessary cargo will not be a problem either.
Technology
Among its design and performance, the technology of the new Mercedes-Benz GLS is complemented by the innovative advanced technology. Using Artificial Intelligence, MBUX can turn your words into your GLS’s action, activating heated seats or setting the directions of MB Navigation.
For an upgraded driving experience, an available MBUX Interior Assistant uses an overhead 3D camera system that lets MBUX respond to the driver’s and front passenger’s hand and arm movements. Key features can also be controlled by simple hand gestures, like pointing toward the rearview mirror to turn on a map light.
