What Does ATTENTION ASSIST® Do?

If you’re heading out on a long adventure through California and beyond, know that your Mercedes-Benz SUV or sedan is watching out for you. ATTENTION ASSIST® uses sensors to learn about your driving habits and can detect if driver fatigue is causing you to make small errors behind the wheel. If the system detects these common driver-fatigue-related errors, it will encourage you to take a break from your journey.

While driving, the ATTENTION ASSIST® system will monitor your steering tendencies and if it recognizes driving errors that correlate with drowsiness at the wheel, it will continue to evaluate other tendencies of fatigued drivers. The system will determine if you’ve been on a long journey and if external influences are impacting your decisions behind the wheel as well. If ATTENTION ASSIST® determines that you need a break from driving, it will alert you with audible and visual notifications.
