New 2021 Mercedes-Benz AMG® GLA 45 SUV AWD 4MATIC®

The most powerful 4-cylinder engine in production, the new 382-hp handcrafted AMG® engine also boasts the highest hp/liter in the industry, due in part to an intercooled twin-scroll turbo that pumps out 27.5 psi of max boost. Along with new two-stage Direct/Port Injection, a high-strength chilled-cast alloy block and numerous advances to reduce friction, its peak torque rises to 354 lb-ft, starting at just 3,000 rpm, for a 0-60 rush of just 4.3 seconds. An ECO Start/Stop system automatically shuts off the engine at stoplights and other idle situations, to save fuel and reduce emissions. As soon as the driver lifts off the brake, the engine instantly restarts, for immediate acceleration response. The ECO Start/Stop system can also be shut off by the driver at any time. The new 8-speed DCT combines racing-derived dual-clutch design with AMG® SPEEDSHIFT®(R) technology. Able to change gears faster than a human can shift a traditional manual gearbox, its shift paddles and rev-matched downshifts provide instant response. In addition to a Manual mode and RACE START launch function, the various modes of AMG® DYNAMIC SELECT offer distinctive accelerator and gearshifting characteristics. Carbon fiber friction linings optimize the response and durability of its fast-acting synchros.

Both front seats also feature adjustable cushion length, for optimal thigh support and added comfort. Sport front seats feature deeper side bolsters to offer enhanced lateral support. The rear seatbacks fold down in a 40/20/40 split, letting you to expand the cargo capacity of your GLA in a variety of configurations, up to 50.5 cu ft. The seatbacks also recline up to 5.5 inches. You can also fold the center section independently, to fit longer items like skis between two rear passengers. The seatbacks can also be locked in a slightly more upright position, expanding the cargo area while still seating three rear passengers.

You can also press the SOS button in the vehicle anytime you need emergency assistance, or see someone else who does. This vital service is provided for as long as you own the vehicle, no matter who's driving. The first system of its kind, ATTENTION ASSIST®(R) continuously monitors up to 70 parameters of driving behavior and can automatically alert the driver with both visual and audible warnings if it detects signs of drowsiness on long trips. With enhanced sensitivity, the system can also help detect drivers who begin their trip drowsy and offer more useful information to drivers along their journey via a dashboard display. Bright white LED Daytime Running Lamps help get the GLA noticed, for added safety and in modern style. Their distinctive angular design accentuates the subtle forward lean of the grille.
